Position: Packaging Operator
Job Type: Full Time
Description: Shmaltz Brewing Company is seeking a Full Time Packaging Operator to work at our Clifton Park facility. The Packaging Operator performs functions within a team which runs a mechanical filler designed to fill bottles to be prepared for shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean in Place (CIP) operations to include the filling, casing, conveying and stacking equipment and environmental cleaning
- Inspect product and package quality. Must have an eye for detail
- Work in a sanitary manner to ensure product quality
- Work efficiently, use chemical cleaning compounds associated with sanitation. Must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals
- Comply with existing SOPs and make suggestions and revisions as needed
- Focus on long-term success for both product and process with concentration on maintaining equipment
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping if necessary to ensure proper production counts
- Work safely and use personal protective equipment
- Other duties as needed or assigned
Qualifications:
- The individual in this position must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, as outlined by the above description
- Must be able to maintain concentration on the bottling quality
- Must be able to work closely with others on the production team and communicate with others as necessary to ensure safe work practices
- 1 Year experience in professional brewing setting
- Ability to drive forklift a plus
