    49th State Brewing Company is seeking a cellarperson for their award winning brewery in Denali Park, Alaska. We're growing quickly and need a responsible, hard working, energetic, quick learner with a passion for local craft beer and the art of brewing to work in our Denali Brewery.

    Pre-requisites:
    • Experience in the brewing industry is a plus, but we will train the right person.
    • Flexibility to work varied hours and long days when production levels increase as necessary.
    • Good mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, and understanding of mechanical systems.
    • The ability to work independently, once direction and proper training are given.
    • A commitment to safety, quality, efficiency and consistency at all times.
    • The ability to lift 55 lbs above your head and the ability to work long periods on your feet, work at heights, crouch down, twist, turn, and work in extreme temperatures.
    • The ability to move 160 pounds repeatedly.
    • The ability to work well with your team in tight spaces.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Operation of keg washer
    • Keg filling
    • Cleaning of brewery surfaces
    • Bottling line operation
    • Taking vitals on beer in fermentation (gravity, pH, temperature, etc.)
    • Draft line cleaning and technical maintenance.
    • Assist with monthly grain and keg inventories
    • Represent the brewery at beer festivals and other events including set up and break down of equipment, if required.
    • Anything else as required by the head brewer to help the team execute the production schedule.

    Salary, Benefits, and Future Opportunities:
    This is an hourly position. $10/hr plus an end of season bonus of $2/hour for every hour worked upon successful completion of the brewing season in Denali in the fall. The brewery, located in Healy, Alaska, just outside the entrance to Denali National Park is a beautiful and remote location, as such housing and 3 meals per day at the brewpub are provided. At the completion of the brewing season in Denali, a permanent position may be offered to the cellarperson to stay on at the Anchorage brewery, if one is available.
