Peter B's, Monterey's original craft brewpub, located at The Portola Hotel and Spa, is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, hard worker for an entry level brewery associate position. Responsibilities will include expanding and maintaining sales and accounts of Peter B's keg beer, delivering beer, and doing some cellarwork. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule who is willing to work on the weekends, independent from the head brewer. Proposed schedule may be Sunday-Thursday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Function as a promotional spokesperson for the company by:
• Making sales calls and maintaining account relationships
• Participating in beer dinners and festivals, customer relations and marketing/promotions/charitable events, including weekends, as needed.
• Conducting brewery tours when necessary.
• Performing Keg Washing and filling
• Handling Keg Deliveries for our accounts with our company van
• Performing Cellarwork, CIPs, and possibly some beer transfers
• Displaying a keen attention to detail and cleanliness
Requirements:
• You're a Craft Beer Fanatic!
• Must demonstrate excellent social skills and effective communication with customers, accounts and management.
• Must be able to lift 60+ lbs repeatedly
• Must be able to push/pull 160+ lbs repeatedly
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hrs on concrete floors.
• Must be willing to work safely, follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Must possess valid driver’s license and proof of a clean driving record for driving a large panel van
• Assist in setting up events through the brewpub is a plus, like trivia for example
Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt position. Base wage is dependent upon experience.
