Black Vinyl Ale Project an award winning brewery + restaurant is searching for a FT brewer to help us continue offering high quality, unique beers in our brewpub. In 3 years of operation we have brewed approximately 275 different recipes (from sours, to barrel fermented and aged, to Hazy NE IPA's to light lagers and everything in between) and we keep 12 beers on tap at all times.
Our system is a direct-fired 3.5 bbl brewhouse with 4 x 3.5 bbl FVs, 1 x 7 bbl FV, a set of neutral bourbon barrels we use to ferment in as well as a set of neutral wine barrels we use to ferment in. 95% of our beer is served direct to consumer onsite.
We are seeking a hardworking, passionate, loyal and detail-oriented team player to join us in this position. You will be working under and in collaboration with the owner/director of brewing in all processes which include, but not limited to CIP, cellarwork, transferring, milling, yeast prop, keg washing, general brewhouse cleaning, paperwork (ABC+TTB), fermentation charting and related QC, wort production, inventory management, small batch packaging and other related work. We are seeking someone who understands and supports each of the functions of being a brewer that go beyond simple recipe development and include event (brewfest, etc) participation, customer interaction, professional development through attending local and state-wide training events and other indirect tasks - essentially showing true passion and ownership of your profession and our company. We are looking for someone who can follow SOP's and improve on them and someone who can follow current recipes, while having the creative ability to shape future recipes.
