POSITION: Sales Representative - North Chicagoland
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
BREWERY: Empirical is one of Chicago’s newest craft breweries - we began brewing in 2014, bottling in 2015, our taproom opened in late 2015, and our brew pub is opening in June 2017. Brewing on a 30-barrel system, Empirical is ramping up to ultimately produce 35,000 barrels per year. The company is currently distributing with 9 distributors covering all of Northern Illinois. As the name would imply, the brewery has a strong commitment to creativity and experimentation, with new experimental beers produced on a custom 1-barrel system on a regular basis (2 to 3 times per week). We currently offer three flagships year-round, along with four seasonals, and a number of special offerings.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year professional sales experience, with a demonstrated sales record, in beer sales or a relatable field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of Illinois liquor codes and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the distributors and Sales Manager to sell product to both on and off premise accounts.
- Develop marketing materials for distributors and accounts.
- Select accounts to target with sales efforts.
- Represent brewery at marketing events.
- Provide customer service to distributors and retail accounts.
- Report on sales activity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
