    Fort Point Beer Company is seeking an analytic, financial guru with a passion for good beer to spearhead operations as our Accounting Manager. This person will work closely with the Head of Administration to ensure timely and accurate financial processing, reporting, and vendor account management.

    OVERVIEW:

    If you are a tech-savvy, self-starter who can help bring industry best practices to our growing business, we want to hear from you! Impeccable organization skills, high attention to detail, and experience managing staff is a must. This person will be instrumental in providing seamless, friendly communication on behalf of the brewery as well as ensuring the accounting function scales to support the company’s growth.

    This position will be responsible for keeping Fort Point Beer Company’s books in excellent order, allowing the company to achieve quantitative and qualitative goals. This includes both supervisory and direct work to manage all vendor accounts, providing clear communication to our growing list of on and off-premise accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, as well as running financial reports for senior management and investors.

    PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage procurement and purchasing
    • Oversee and conduct the processing of invoices and reports
    • Maintain detailed reports of company payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
    • Ensure timely communication with vendors to resolve account discrepancies, billing adjustments, apply credits and resolve payment issues
    • Review weekly bank reconciliations
    • Assist and prepare regulatory filings
    • Ensure the accurate processing of completed sales invoices
    • Maintain and improve accounting policies & procedures.
    • Communicate with management on delinquent accounts and execute collections
    • Manage payroll cycle
    • Prepare financial and management reports
    • Analyze data, prepare reports and make recommendations on a variety of accounting items.



    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    • SAP Business One, Netsuite, or other similar ERP usage
    • Experience reviewing financial documents for accuracy and completeness
    • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
    • Strong computer skills – Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
    • Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills



    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Previous experience with Manufacturing business cycles (Beer or broader CPG industry)
    • Previous personnel management experience
    • CPA with Big 4 experience a plus
