The Retail/Taproom Manager is responsible for the duties involved with the operation of our taproom:
- staff and train bar and bus services
- construct the staff work schedule
- conduct interviews and make hiring/firing recommendations
- install him/herself as bartender within the schedule as he/she sees fit
- establish opening and closing procedures for each workday
- assist in promotion of the taproom, including recruiting and scheduling entertainment (e.g. booking musicians)
- set up and manage inventory and train staff in Point of Sale operations
- assist with social media announcements to promote taproom activities
- communicate with Board members on keg and merchandise inventory during the course of each workday
- have at least 1 year of experience in bar or restaurant management
- experience with the craft beer industry is a plus
- bonus points for Cicerone certification
Compensation: a base salary plus accrued tips from working the bar. This position is eligible for 15 days of paid time off per calendar year and 5 paid US holidays per year. Position is based on a 40 hour work week.
