Pagosa Brewing Co & Grill, located in the beautiful Southwest Colorado Rockies (https://www.facebook.com/PagosaBrewingCompany/), has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Head Brewer. Candidates must have:
• Ability to manage staff, costs & production
• Effective verbal communication, organizational skills, and computer/online proficiency
• Passion for great beer, dedication to quality, cleanliness & solid work ethic
This position will consist of all aspects of brewing including, but not limited to: managing brewers, scheduling, ordering raw materials, grain handling, wort production, fermentation management, lab & computer duties, cellaring, inventory management, cost controls, kegging, bottling, self-distribution, attendance at festivals & other special events. We are on-track to brew another 750bbls this year on a sweet, customized 6bbl system. And, are looking for the right person to help us install a new brewery in our recently remodeled 7,200 sq. ft. brewpub.
Having celebrated our 10th anniversary, our brewpub has a proven track record of producing GABF award-winning beers. The ideal candidate should a minimum of 2+ years managing a brewery in a commercial environment. Homebrewing experience NOT considered. Formal brewing education is a plus. Wages, and a potential for equity/ownership opportunities, will be commensurate with skills and experience.
Pagosa Springs is located in the Four Corners Region of the Southwest (west of Wolf Creek Ski area and north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.) Pagosa is a stunningly beautiful, family-friendly ski town with excellent schools and four seasons of fun.
