The position offered is for Head Brewer. Duties include scheduling, purchasing, operations oversight, marketing and sales. Includes repair & troubleshooting, crisis avoidance and planning, SOP development, QA development, and being the face of our brewery. You will wear many hats and have extensive management leeway. Job includes all aspects of milling, brewing, cellaring, filtering, carbonation, kegging, canning, and especially cleaning. The job will require you to teach as well as learn. You will supervise 4 employees and perform all day-to-day managerial duties necessary to run a small brewery profitably.
You will: Have at least two years’ commercial brewing experience, you will be well read in brewing science/techniques, be a clean freak, have a reasonable background in math and science, be mechanically inclined, have a strong work ethic, manage employees effectively, be a morning person, able to work weekends, learn quickly, have a positive attitude, work hard, commit to at least one year, and love your job.
We will: provide housing, utilities allowance, company car, work visa, and a learning environment. We offer a reasonable salary and a completion bonus. This would be an ideal assignment for anyone who seeks to learn the managerial ropes before stepping up to run their own business. Come practice how it’s done in an established brewery.
Palau is a beautiful, small, tropical country in the Western Pacific. The scuba diving here is one, if not THE best in the world. Great fishing, camping, snorkeling, and boating are everywhere.
