    KettleHouse Brewing Company is continuing to grow and is hiring a Cellar Production Worker. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to beer racking and packaging, record keeping, shipping and receiving, and cleaning. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position with benefits.     Cellar Worker
    Job Description
    Overall position description:
    The Cellar Worker I will maintain the cleanliness and operation of the brewery cellar.

    Tasks:
    I.
    A. Works with KHS keg filler. Fills orders and appropriately labels kegs.
    B. Cleans and maintains the brewery and cellar to keep them in the condition set forth by the company using company procedures
    C. Carbonates brite beer to specification
    D. Operates the centrifuge to bring beer in the condition set forth by the company using company procedures
    E. Follows all written brewery, cellar and safety procedures
    F. Assists with barrel aging of beer
    G. Racks beer and works on the canning line
    H. Tastes beer for quality standards and has the ability to recognize and point out any problems with quality
    I. Cleans and sanitizes all brew tanks and fermenters to keep them in the condition set forth by the company using company procedures
    J. Participates in meetings to keep up with current events and procedures and to share information with other employees
    K. Helps at KettleHouse’s other locations with dry hopping and other cellar work
    L. Takes gravities of fermenters and monitors tank temperatures



    Supervision Exercised:
    None.

    Supervision Received:
    This position reports to the Head Brewer but may also receive direction from more senior Cellar workers, the Packaging Manager, Operations Manager, and/or Owner.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
    • Ability to read, speak, understand English.
    • Possession of a valid Montana driver’s license.
    • Ability to drive a forklift.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to establish and maintain favorable relationships in the best interests of the company.
    • Ability to make arithmetic computations.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
    • Ability to read, speak, understand English.
    • Ability to follow complex series of directions with minimal supervision
    • Possession of a valid Montana driver’s license.
    • Knowledge of company’s safety standards and ability to notify the appropriate person of potential problems or safety hazards.
    • Must be 21 years of age or older for product quality control tasting.




    Desirable Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of the entire brewing process and quality control measures.
    • Education or experience in a science related field.
    • An understanding of CIP, sanitation and sterilization techniques of brewery equipment
    • Current forklift certification.


    Education and Experience:
    The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and experience that includes one (1) year working in a small commercial brewery.

    Mental and Physical Demands:
    This position requires heavy lifting up to 150 lbs to a height of 3 feet. This position requires standing approximately 95% of the time. This position requires the use of a computer approximately 5% of the time. This position must be able to operate employer provided vehicle and forklift. This position must be able to utilize a telephone to communicate with customers and co-workers. This position must be able to tolerate a noisy environment with wet floors, caustic chemicals and electrical equipment.
