Hopsters Brewing Company is a 4 yr old 7bbl Brew Pub in Newton, MA And Boston Seaport and is looking for a head brewer.
Requirements:
• Responsible for the entire brewing and quality control processes
• Well versed in production scheduling, brewing, cellaring and packaging operations
• Ability to keg, operate a canning line, and small run bottling
• Recipe development; ability to create recipes on a 7 bbl system
• Manage and re-create current recipes with precision
• Manage and continue to develop barrel program
• Manage raw materials, inventory control, scheduling, hop contracts, purchasing and receiving of all materials on site
• Maintenance and organization of all brewing and packaging records
• Good computer skills and the ability to use online management software
• Yeast management, including cropping, starters, pitch rates, cell counts, generation tracking.
• Manage cellar operations including, tank transfers, and sanitation of all brewery components
• Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and good problem solving skills
• Ability to coordinating operations with sales force and distribution forecasts by working directly with the management teams
• Manage vendor relationships
• Hands-on leadership skills for developing and training a team
• Employee hiring/training/management/scheduling
• Comfortable working with chemicals and willingness to adhere to safety, environmental and brew-house standards at all times
Must Have:
• 2+ years’ experience in production brewing
• Great Communication Skills and ability to work with others
• Lift 60 lbs and move 165 lbs efficiently and effectively

Salary up to 70K Flexible depending on experience
