Snake Lake Brewing Company – Sylvan Lake, Alberta
We are a new 35 hectoliter microbrewery which will be starting production in mid October, 2017. We are looking for an skilled and motivated brewmaster to take on the role of the head brewer in our facility.
The start date for this position will be September 1, 2017.
The position will be full-time with some evenings and weekend work, will have an industry competitive salary with an employee benefits program.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Recipe development
- Selecting and preparing the ingredients
- Operating the brewhouse
- Managing the fermentation process
- Yeast management and lab work
- Canning and kegging
- Shipping and receiving
- Following strict cleaning and sanitation procedures for the equipment and vessels
- Managing the brewer’s assistants
- Inventory administration
- Record Keeping
Skills and Qualifications:
- Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management Diploma is an asset
- Basic computer knowledge
- Previous brewery work experience is an asset
- ProServe certificate
- Class 5 drivers licence
- Forklift training certification
- Physically capable of moving and lifting heavy objects
- Self-motivated
- Able to work well with others
