  • Old Hops

I've got a bunch of Nugget & Warrior hops at BSG from the '12-'13 crop. We don't use them in much of anything & was wondering what the hell to do with them. Is there anyone out there that composts them or uses them in anything? I'd rather not toss them in the trash & I'm damn sure not brewing with them.

    Use Them For Sours

If you brew Sours they will be fine. I try to find the oldest hops I can just for the sours and the good thin id you don't need that much per barrel.

Decorate the taproom? Even pellets would probably look pretty cool in mason jars along the wall or clear tubes used as tap handles. Just don't let the customers smell 'em!

Tried that. The pellets go grey eventually, nothing like the fresh green they should be.
