The Social Media & Events Coordinator will be responsible for the development of a social media strategy and original social media content to build brand awareness and loyalty while increasing traffic flow to our social media sites. The Social Media & Events Coordinator will be focused on serving as a brand ambassador for North Park Beer Co. in all social media sites.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Social Media & Events Coordinator will be responsible for the development of a social media strategy and original social media content to build brand awareness and loyalty while increasing traffic flow to our social media sites. The Social Media & Events Coordinator will be focused on serving as a brand ambassador for North Park Beer Co. in all social media sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate all private and public NPBC guest events, managing correspondence with potential clients via email and phone.
- Regularly update both internal and public website events calendars, preparing staff and management with details in advance as well as day of event sheets.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to all guest requests and concerns, remaining proactive to anticipate guest needs.
- Assure guest events are profitable, fun, and compelling to attend.
- Arrange meetings with potential clients to showcase and promote event space and present all available options, then follow up to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate on-site and off-site events such as tap takeovers, beer dinners, anniversary events, beer release parties, etc.
- Create checklists for event preparation and breakdown, ensuring appropriate scheduling for in-house staff.
- Personally oversee the execution of guest events, or ensure staff is able to do so.
- Collaborate with third party kitchen management to integrate seamless food and beverage service for guest events.
- Coordinate party rentals for guest events as needed.
- Keep event spaces and materials clean, stocked, and organized.
- Help coordinate staff events, such as training and team-building.
- Develop and implement a long-term social media strategy and best practices across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, etc)
- Manage the digital voice of NPBC’s brand and reputation through creation of original and engaging social media content that is consistent with company brand and image.
- Execute day-to-day, real-time consumer communications through digital tools including company website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, etc. and engage with social media audiences to create a sense of community and build brand loyalty.
- Ensure that consumer digital experiences align with overall company goals and vision.
- Analyze, track, measure, and report social media analytic tools to understand consumer impressions of NPBC and to ensure social media strategies are optimized for best performance and response, including SEO performance.
- Create and maintain photographic and video assets documenting NPBC’s story, events, internal successes, etc. which are consistent with company brand and image.
- Develop schedule of daily, weekly, and monthly fun and profitable events and create promotions for these events.
- Develop post-mortem debriefing and evaluation plan for completed events and how to improve.
- Work with the Graphic Designer to develop marketing communications and collateral (press releases, emails, newsletters, website content, social media, signage, etc.) that accurately reflect NPBC’s personality and goals.
- Create and drive public awareness of NPBC’s brand through creating press releases and e-blasts for the breweries various specialty releases and as content is available for delivery to a wide audience on current social marketing tools and software.
- Proactively monitor social media trends, forums, platforms, applications, and technological tools.
- Represent NPBC at offsite events, festivals, and gatherings as required.
- Occasionally supervise taproom and bar staff, which may require opening and/or closing procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Learn to operate POS system.
- Follow checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain highest level of customer service and professionalism with guests, management, and co-workers at all times.
- Apply all guidelines for responsible alcohol service.
- Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines. Use team-lifting when picking up full kegs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Taproom & Brewery Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Hospitality, Event Planning, or related field.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior work experience in bar/restaurant industry, brewing industry, and/or wine industry.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and nonverbal communications.
- Strong fluency/expertise in social media platforms (Primarily Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and community engagement, preferably with prior brand related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of computers including but not limited to Internet, Google Drive, Google AdWords, MailChimp, etc. with ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Possess knowledge of SEO principles, best practices, and writing content for SEO.
- Ability to positively represent NPBC during workdays, as well as outside of work at industry events.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, strong work ethic, and be able to work within a team AND independently with a great attitude.
- Outgoing personality; ability to communicate effectively with consumers, retailers and team members.
- Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be passionate about the independent craft brewing industry and NPBC beer.
- Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money.
- Possess current certification for responsible alcohol service (ABC LEAD or similar) within the last 2 years.
- Possess strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.
- Possess awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
- Able to communicate effectively and be understood in English.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule in accordance with events calendar.
- Able to lift heavy objects (25 – 55 lbs.) on a continual basis. Able to transport up to 160 lbs. (full kegs) with assistance. Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift. Able to work in crowded and confined spaces.
- Able to operate or able to quickly learn Point of Sale system.
- Able to maintain excellent customer service and professional appearance suitable for guest interaction while working under pressure.
