Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Location: San Leandro, CA

21st Amendment Brewery is seeking a motivated, multi-talented and experienced Maintenance Assistant who is passionate about beer and being involved in an evolving maintenance program.
What This Job Is All About:
Working with the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the precise and safe maintenance and repair of facility and brewery equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Executing preventative maintenance routines
Performing necessary equipment repairs in a safe and timely fashion
Installing new equipment and design assistance on projects
Assisting in process automation
Assisting in process improvement of packaging, brewing, and facility processes
Assisting in developing SOPs and future maintenance programs
Weekly cleaning and organizing of maintenance area
Working in a shift rotation that might involve late nights and weekends
What We Need From You:
Our ideal candidate must possess the ability to switch gears quickly and prioritize many high priority tasks at once. This job is great for someone who is energized by constant challenge with an eye towards safety, continuous improvement, and preventative maintenance.
Requirements
Must have industrial electrical experience
Must have metal fabrication experience
Able to work overtime and weekend shifts as needed
Troubleshooting in a challenging environment
Manufacturing mechanical skills
General electrical wiring skills
Knowledge of GMP
Clean California Drivers License
Skills (not required, but helpful)
Experience with PLC automation and instrumentation
Commercial brewing and packaging processes
Knowledge of local and national building codes
Rebuilding of motors and pumps
Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Power transmission
Knowledge of NEC
Welding
Air compressor maintenance
HVAC and refrigeration
Boiler maintenance
Plumbing
Fabrication skills
Knowledge of 5S practices
**Experience working in the Brewing, Bio-Tech,Dairy, Beverage or Food Processing industries is a HUGE PLUS**
