Scuttlebutt Brewing Company is looking for an Assistant Brewer to join our dedicated team. Successful candidates will have a high level of brewing knowledge, a passion for great beer, attention to detail, good communication skills, competent administrative abilities, and strong desire to be in the beer industry.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in day to day brewery operations,
Maintenance, operating, and cleaning of tanks, hoses, and related equipment.
Maintaining and cleaning of the production spaces along with associated work areas.
Maintaining a clean and sanitary standard in all aspects of your work.
Assisting in managing and maintaining the proper inventory of needed supplies.
You will take direction primarily from the Head Brewer/Brewery Manager and coordinate with other SBC employees.
Your skills must include
The ability to learn and be proficient in the technical and physical aspects of beer handling in the stages of fermentation, conditioning and packaging.
The ability to lift full cases of beer as well as move full kegs of beer.
The ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
The ability to work hard and efficiently without constant supervision.
The ability to work with, and maintain, mechanical equipment without destroying it, injuring yourself or others in the process.
A get it done attitude.
A flexible schedule, working a variety of shifts including weekends.
Desire to learn, grow, and take on increased responsibilities.
Current drivers license with clean driving record.
Absolute passion for beer and brewing.
