As one of Minnesota’s fastest growing breweries, Insight Brewing Company is looking for a motivated head brewer to manage its award winning beer lineup. This position seeks a motivated individual who isn’t afraid to push boundaries in beer styles and brewing techniques, but must have an acute attention for quality and consistency. With a 20,000 sq/ft production space with taproom and a 17,000 sq/ft warehouse across the parking lot, Insight is on track to brew 9,000 bbls in 2017, our third year of operating.

Essential Duties

• All things brewing
• Recipe Development
• Manage brewing team
• Manage production and packaging schedules
• Maintain accurate and detailed production records
• Yeast management
• Perform quality control procedures as prescribed by Director of Quality Control
• Sensory evaluation
• Inventory Management
• Have open communications with senior leadership, packaging and operations staff

Qualifications and Skills

• Five or more years professional brewing experience
• Must have excellent communications skills
• Prior management position required
• Able to delegate tasks effectively
• Experience on a 30 bbl brewery or larger preferred
• Able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and 165 lbs occasionally
• Able to stand 8-12 hours per day
• General computer and software proficiency
• Able to safely handle cleaning chemicals and brewing equipment
