  • Testing Equipment Advice Needed - Refractometer

I have been using one of the cheap handheld refractometers on a SG scale (been using SG only because I couldnt find a refractometer in Plato) for a few years now. I would like to switch to a table top nicer refractometer that reads in Plato and then switch over to Plato for everything. The only thing I've found for a reasonable price is https://www.gwkent.com/hanna-digital...-hi-96811.html but it is Brix

Can anyone recommend a refractometer and hydrometer that is on a Plato scale.

    Thanks,
    Andy

I think Plato and Brix are nearly identical. According to this chart (http://www.straighttothepint.com/wp-...sion-Table.png) 25.0 Brix is equal to 24.9979 Plato. That's close enough for me.

Oh damn. That's close enough for me too. Thanks for the help. Don't know in my reading today everything made it seem like they are way different.
