Cellarman/ Assistant Brewer for Ventura production facility.
There is an immediate opening available for a reasonably experienced cellar operator with some brewing experience.
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of industry standard CIP and SIP procedures.
- Comprehensive equipment and chemical safety and usage knowledge.
- Experience performing beer transfers, testing carbonation levels, and using yeast brinks.
Other Required/ Desired Abilities and Philosophies:
- An innate drive to expand skill sets and to gain new knowledge
- The objectivity to know the things you do not know and take direction when necessary.
- A work ethic which does not require constant re-motivation.
- A creative outlook and approach to solving problems and generating new ideas.
- The ability to lift 55 lbs over your head
- The ability to lift 165 lbs to waist level
- The ability to push/pull 165 lbs on the ground
- The rare ability to be truly organized and to return every tool or piece of equipment back to the exact place you found it.
This position will begin as part-time (20-30 hours/wk), but will rapidly become full-time with the very real and quick potential for advancement.
