Cellarman
Alewerks Brewing Company is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Cellarman. Appropriate candidates will have a focus on efficiency, quality, safety and have a great work-ethic with a positive attitude.
Cellarman Duties (Including, but not limited to)
Raw materials handling
Vessel cleaning - CIP process vessels on a daily basis.
Racking of product - Move beer through the cellar
Prepare bright beer for packaging
General cleaning of facilities.
Liaise with Lead Brewer, Q/A Dept., and Brewmaster on monitoring of products.
Assist in bottling, keg cleaning and packaging as needed.
Assist with the brewing of beer and other aspects of production.
Maintenance and regular cleaning of multiple draft systems.
Requirements
Experience - 1 year relevant experience in a similar position or a formal brewing education required.
Physical Requirements - Working in a brewery is a very physically demanding. Appropriate candidates must be able to repeatedly lift 55#’s on a daily basis, handle hot & cold liquids, shovel hot grain, climb stairs repeatedly throughout a shift,
This position requires working in a non-temperature controlled environment, handling of hazardous materials and operation of complex and heavy machinery.
Our brewery is in operation 24 hours/day. Cellarman must have a flexible schedule. Overtime may be required.
Participation and travel to and from industry events and trade shows may be expected.
Must be 21 years of age and have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Schedule
The default schedule for this position will be:
Mon. - Thursday 2:00 -10:00pm
Sunday - 11:00am - 7:00 pm
Friday & Saturday - Off
