    Description
    Harvest Restaurants is seeking a passionate brewer to manage our brewery and brew beer to company specifications of quality and variety. This person will also operate the brewery to company standards of safety and cleanliness as well as promote beer sales as part of the management team through education and events.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Adheres to all safety procedures and policies.
    Maintain brewery, state and federal compliance, inventory and brew sheet paperwork.
    Attend management meetings to update restaurant managers on brewery issues on a weekly basis.
    Responsible for all purchasing & accounting for brewery; monitor brewery budget.
    Provide weekly product forecast.
    Evaluate and monitor beer and raw materials involved in brewing.
    Brew original beers according to demographics and promotional needs.
    Operate brew equipment to maintain acceptable inventory of raw materials and beer.
    Supervise cleanliness & sanitation of all equipment, tanks, and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality.
    Maintain fundamental knowledge of plumbing and machinery mechanics/maintenance.
    Conduct on-going research into industry trends, technical parameters and local market specialties to ensure product offerings stay relevant.
    Train & test staff in beer knowledge at daily sales meetings.
    Participate in beer dinners and festivals, guest relations and marketing, promotions and charitable events.
    Design and conduct brewery tours.
    Participate in guild affiliations.
    Requirements
    Fundamental knowledge of plumbing and machinery mechanics/maintenance
    Possess basic beer knowledge and good sense of smell, distinguishing flavors and colors in beer.
    Ability to work and communicate well with staff, customers and outside parties.
    Knowledge of Microsoft office & other computer programs a PLUS!
    Organized and detail oriented.
    Ability to problem solve and gain assistance as needed.
    Capable of speaking in front of small groups of people as an instructor/presenter.

    Education & Experience:
    3+ years of brewing experience in micro brewery.
    Education at an accredited brewing school preferred.
