About Sandymount Technologies
Sandymount is an MIT spinout specializing in filtration systems for beverages and beverage ingredients with delicate flavour profiles. We are a full-time team of six (and growing), rolling out commercial units with several global beverage companies. We are funded by several prominent Boston-based investment groups and supported by six beverage and process industry executives as advisors. Over the past three months, we have developed a quality assurance program for our clients and processes. We are now looking for an organized, high-energy, brewing industry professional to bring our program beyond industry state of the art.
About the Position
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and develop our existing quality assurance program for beer, wine and spirits processes.
2. Become Sandymount’s expert on quality when it comes to client trials and commercial unit rollouts.
3. Measure performance and diagnose issues in our pre-production and production units from a quality perspective.
4. Lead efforts and collaborate with the engineering team in developing new measurement techniques that may be combined within Sandymount’s process solutions.
Leading candidates will:
1. Demonstrate great urgency, a drive to execute and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
2. Demonstrate a level of comfort with acquiring knowledge and skills in areas that are outside their current expertise.
3. Demonstrate a willingness to be proactive in reaching outside of the company to gather information, garner advice and build on our existing ecosystem of suppliers and relationships.
4. Have a brewing diploma and/or a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, brewing science or a similar field.
5. Have brewing experience, and preferably experience setting up and managing sensory programs.
