  • Removing the intensive cleaning system

    Hello,

From what I've read in Adrian's book, it sounds like the intensive cleaning system is mostly dead weight. Going on that supposition, I have a few questions:

    1. Can I remove the reservoir, pump and other parts of the system to save some weight? Is this very difficult and/or problematic?
    2. Could I just use the intensive cleaning system as my windshield washer and get rid of the normal windshield washer system?I went through many resources Cleaning System Video to know more about it but did not much info.
Just wanted to try and shave off a few pounds since I'm certain I won't be investing in any of Porsche's intensive silicone cleaning solution any time soon. Please help me out.

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Usually, I find that replacing the fuel cap gasket and oiling the pump leather will fix the problem. After that, try a new generator. If it still doesn't work right, it's time for a full tear-down and intensive cleaning.
