    Job Description - Cellarperson/Delivery Driver
    Reports to: Assistant Brewer and Distribution Manager


    Description Summary:
    Cellarperson/Driver is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing tanks/kegs, as well as transferring beer from tank to keg, loading and unloading the delivery van, safe operation of vehicle, maintaining positive relationships with accounts, picking up all empty kegs and returning product from accounts, properly adjusting invoices to reflect credits, and providing unparalleled customer service. The Cellarperson also cleans and sanitizes product lines and other equipment, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the brewery cellar area. Other duties of the Cellarperson include but are not limited to: cleaning the floors, outsides of tanks, miscellaneous parts, floor drains, filtration equipment, brewer’s office work area, cellar racks, and containers.
    The Cellarperson/Driver should expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the expectation that the workload will increase as our brewery continues to grow. This position is paid hourly with the opportunity for additional hours, and is supervised by the Assistant Brewer and the Sales and Distribution Manager and overseen by the head brewer.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Coordinate with the Distribution Manager and release beer to packaging when ready.
    Load and unload delivery van with packaged beer assigned to accounts.
    Collect empty kegs and properly adjust credits.
    Provide excellent customer service.
    Keep inside of truck clean.
    Perform beer transfers, carbonation, filtration, carbonation and packaging.
    Fermenter, brite tank, brewhouse and keg washing and sanitizing.
    General brewery support as required.
    Maintain a safe working environment which allows us to work cleanly and produce great beer in an environment with minimal stress.
    Assist in the cleaning of all the brewery areas and the washing of equipment, floors and tools to comply with company and government sanitation standards.
    Work beer festivals on several weekends per year, typically full-day Saturdays, which includes preparation (on Friday), truck loading, driving, and unloading Saturday morning, setup and staffing of the BHB booth, pouring beer for festival attendees, and pack-up, driving, and unpacking/cleaning at the brewery Saturday evening.

    Requirements:
    Consistently lift and carry 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 70 pounds to chest height.
    Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds.
    Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, kneeling and reaching.
    Must be able to stand for the entire shift, up to ten hours.
    Consistently able to use repetitive hand and wrist motion.
    Work with hot, cold and hazardous equipment and materials.

    Maintained a safe driving record for past 3 years.

    Ideal applicants will have experience brewing beer, whether professionally or through amateur home brewing.
