Assistant Brewer (Hudson Valley NY area)

District 96 Beer is a new brewpub located in New City, NY (Rockland County). We focus on quality, drinkability, and a variety of styles. We brew on a 7bbl system which gives us the ability to experiment and create a bunch of different beers. We are looking to hire an assistant to the head brewer (position reports to the head brewer). This is a full-time position that will also require pouring beer in our tasting room when open. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience in a brewery. As we continue to grow this position will evolve into more hands on training of all areas of production.

Position duties include, but are not limited to:
-Washing/Filling Kegs
-Brewhouse and Cellar tank cleaning
-Organizing all brewery related supplies/product
-Keeping the brewery clean
-Attending festivals/events when necessary
-Working in the tasting room when open
-Other tasks as necessary

Position Qualifications:
-Very strong work ethic, with high attention to detail
-Strong willingness to learn and grow
-A strong love for beer, and the production of it
-Must be able to repeatably lift 55 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for full work days
-Must be willing to work long days, some nights, and weekends
-Willingness to work in a wet, hot environment
-Homebrewing experience required
-21 years of age or older
