RAR Brewing is seeking a high energy, experienced General Manager to take the helm of our expanded taproom and food operations. As General Manager, your responsibility will encompass the total operation of the taproom and kitchen business. You will run the operation with a focus on employee satisfaction, food safety, cleanliness, and demonstrate a sense of membership in the team. You will be expected to lead the staff with Compassion and Consideration, while being vigilant in following the operating standards of the RAR Brewing taproom. As General Manager, you will represent RAR Brewing in the community at the highest level of integrity and trust.
As General Manager, you will have many key responsibilities. Your principal focus is to educate your employees and exemplify the standards set forth by RAR Brewing. In this position, your duties will include; a) understanding the business plan developed for our taproom and kitchen, b) assessing competition and competitive marketing initiatives, c) forecasting short and long-term financial targets, d) analyzing procedures to improve efficiencies and productivity, e) consistently oversee the culinary processes, food quality, recipe adherence and food display’s, f) enforcing policies and standards, g) employee interviewing and hiring, h) forecasting staffing requirements, i) reviews purchases, inventory levels, j) oversee all employee function, k) hold periodic key employee meetings, l) manage all reporting functions and m) provides key staff annual reviews;
Job Prerequisites
2 years restaurant general manager experience preferred
High school diploma, College degree preferred or equivalent experience
Entrepreneur mind-set
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Successful leader and motivator
Ability to understand restaurant financial statements
Computer fluent: Word, Excel
Able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment
Capable of managing 15-40 employees
Perform functions for each position when required
Passion for beer, food and people
Highly developed social skills
