Flourishing Brewery seeks Full-Time Brewer to Begin Immediately.
Currently developing a blend of traditional European beers as well as contemporary West Coast styles, we're looking for innovative new ideas to propel us to #1 in BC's craft beer scene. A primary focus on quality, an obsessive attention to detail, and a strong sense of family are characteristics which you should exemplify - and a passion for craft beer.
The brewery is a 3-vessel, 15hL system running three to five brews a week with two brewers and an assistant; we naturally carbonate our beer and do not use a filter. Our brewers are responsible for overseeing all facets of the brewing process; beyond brewing beer, this includes sourcing raw materials, recipe development, maintenance, and packaging.
Requirements:
-commercial brewing experience
-mechanical and forklift experience
-familiarity brewing without a filter and/or centrifuge
-recipe formulation (the ability to conceptualize a brew and adjust recipes depending on availability of ingredients)
*motivated and independent - the ability to work autonomously, to identify and complete tasks without specific direction, is a must
