Project Engineer
What This Entails:
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is seeking an Off-centered, highly analytical, creative solutions-stickler-for-detail kind of person to lead construction and process improvement projects at our brewery. Under general direction of Engineering Leadership, you will be charged with taking a project from concept, through design, budget development, bidding, installing and commissioning. You’ll accomplish this working with and through an awesome cross-functional group of co-workers to ensure all project needs are appropriately vetted and expectations are exceeded every time… no just getting it done here at Dogfish! You must have an eye for detail to thoroughly document and ensure all standards are in place and followed and you must be a consummate organizer who can task master like a boss. You must be able to constructively evaluate “I gotta have it versus I wanna have it” to make great decisions most impactful and beneficial for our company, resources and teams. Quite honestly, you’ll be doing a lot, and be busy as hell, but you know what, you’ll love it.
What You Need To Land This Gig:
The successful candidate will hold a BS in an Engineering discipline with minimum 5 years project management experience. You should be a strong lead-by-example facilitator, who supports the success of your project sponsor and project team. You must be a super strong and proactive communicator, both written and spoken, who generates involvement and builds cohesive teams. You must be able to analyze and interpret complex documents, drawings, and diagrams. You must be comfortable holding folks, whether peers or vendors, accountable to their commitments. You must be able to juggle as you’ll have many balls continuously in the air. You should be a strategic and long-term thinker, who maintains a handle on today while planning and positioning for tomorrow. You must also have strong technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment. You must be able to work singularly at times but also collaborate like crazy. Work in batch processing environment is a plus. You must be highly proficient in MS Office products and AutoCAD.
