SanTan Brewing in Chandler AZ is looking for a Maintenance Manager to work with the Head Brewer on brewery and production equipment maintenance, with a focus on equipment improvement and new equipment development and implementation.
Job Description:
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance, monitoring and record keeping programs for Brewing, Packaging, and Support equipment for entire facility.
• Have clear knowledge of all systems utilized by SanTan production.
• Inspect, test, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Purchase and maintain adequate spare parts and supplies.
• Conduct and complete PMs and work orders and address issues as they arise.
• Clean, lubricate and rebuild shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems; listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors.
• Assist Management to oversee operation of utility systems to ensure uninterrupted supply to brewery needs. Including but not limited to: maintenance of utility systems and equipment, supplies and ordering of consumable items
• May lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and equipment related to utility and process piping. Sanitary piping experience a plus but not required.
• Install, remove, repair, modify, or replace new or existing machines and equipment.
• Acquire quotes for building projects and perform minor facility repairs.
• May set up and operate machine tools such as a grinder, drill press, hand tools and other metal working equipment to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut, fit or weld metal parts or process piping using gas, braze or arc welding processes in fabrication shop or on the job site.
• Know, understand, and be compliant with the Confined Space Entry procedure and Lockout procedure.
• Read, understand, and work from P&IDs, equipment cut sheets and manufacturer-provided drawings.
• May operate forklift or other mobile equipment (i.e. scissor lift, articulated boom).
• Perform housekeeping functions both in the shop and on the job site to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• May weld metal parts using TIG and/or orbital welding and any combination of arc welding processes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components such as motors, motor starters, fuses, disconnects, instrumentation, relays, switches, position sensors and printed circuit boards.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, temperature, pressure, and flow control loops. Install, program, maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, motor control systems, and control networks.
• Perform disassembly, repair and service of valves, pumps, actuators, and other related piping hardware.
• Perform other duties and take on other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
• Broad knowledge of materials, joining techniques and technologies, geometry, trigonometry, fluid handling systems is desired.
• Proven ability to propose, lead and commission capital projects.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and trouble-shooting skills.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Experience with Process equipment (pumps, motors, valves, refrigeration systems, air systems, boilers).
• Experience with Siemens/Allen Bradley Automation (PLC programming a plus).
• Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers and across functions
• A minimum of two years related work experience is preferred.
• An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is highly desired.
