Catawba Brewing Company is looking to add a Lead QC person towards the end of 2017. The position will be located in our Morganton NC facility with sporadic travel to our Asheville and Charlotte locations. Morganton NC is a small mountain town 50 miles east of Asheville at the foot of Linville Gorge which offers world class hiking, rock climbing and whitewater paddling. The ideal candidate will have a BS in biology, chemistry or a related field and a minimum 3 years experience working in a brewery lab. Our QC department is set up to do basic micro and DO testing and you will be asked to expand and develop the program through budgeting new equipment, developing policies and procedures, training brewery staff and expanding QC department staff to include a robust sensory evaluation program.
