Cellar Operator
We are currently looking to hire for a Cellar positions. The ideal candidate is interested in becoming a long-term member of the Karbach team. Karbach will produce about 100,000 bbls by year’s end and continue a strong growth trend, opening opportunities for advancement in the future.
Primary Responsibilities:
-CIP of fermentation tanks, bright tanks, and yeast holding tanks
-CIP of beer line, bright beer line cleaning
-Yeast harvesting and yeast dumping
-Carbonating beer in tanks
-Communicating with and coordinating actions between Brewhouse and Packaging departments
-CLEANING!!!—scrubbing outside of tanks, valves, piping; scrubbing floors, walls and drains
-Complete all necessary tank documentation accurately
-Follow company SOP’s
Requirements:
-Prior experience in a production brewery or beverage industry
-Ability to lift 55+ pounds, work in a non-temperature controlled environment and repeatedly handle hot and cold liquids.
-Physically be able to bend over, twist, kneel, climb stairs, and stand all day
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work rotating 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts M-F with occasional weekend work
Preferred:
-1+ year experience in a production brewery
-Forklift certification
-Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Chemistry/Food Science/Engineering
-Certification from IBD, ABG, Siebel, etc.
-2+ years experience in a production brewery producing 50,000+ bbls/yr.
-Knowledge of standard lab measurement and sampling techniques (yeast counts, titrations, etc.)
-Microsoft Office experience
-Some mechanical aptitude/troubleshooting ability
Bonus points:
-Knowledge of SAP/Orchestrated Beer software
-Knowledge of BrewMaxx software
Compensation is competitive DOE.
