Job Summary:
These positions involve assisting the Brewmaster in aspects of brewery operations.
This is a an entry level position (No brewery experience required)
The right candidate will be safety-minded, efficient, quality-focused, have a great work ethic, and a positive attitude.
This has the potential to be full-time for the right candidate with growth potential from an assistant/apprentice to a full-time brewer position.
Once trained hours can be flexible, though training hours will mainly be day shift M-F, though exceptions could be made.
Duties include (but not limited to):
-Cellar work (Keg Cleaning/Filling,tank cleaning,filtering/transferring)
-Bottling
-Filling Orders/Making Deliveries
-Spent Grain Removal
-General Cleaning & miscellaneous tasks
-Guide occasional brewery tours
-Working the occasional festival or event
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old
High School diploma or GED required.
Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record
Must be punctual/have reliable transportation
Common sense, curious/willing to ask questions, learn & build knowledge/skills
Self motivated and able to work independently, or as part of a team
Must have excellent communication skills in English
Maintain accurate and legible records
Ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented
Extreme commitment to cleanliness/sanitation,organization, safety, and strictly follow S.O.P.s (Standard Operating Procedures)
***Physical requirements of the job primarily include but are not limited to***:
Standing/walking for the duration of a shift (8+ hours) , lifting/carrying 55 pounds regularly, maneuvering 165 pounds regularly, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and grasping. Working environment will expose job holder to cold, heat, and humidity.***
Skills/Experience that may be beneficial to this position
-Experience in a similar position ( i.e. food service preparation/production, restaurant experience)
-Have an interest/knowledge/passion for beer and brewing or willingness to be trained and learn
-Good customer service/people skills
-Flexible schedule,including evenings,weekends, and holidays as needed.
-Possess a mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
This is an hourly-paid position *part time 10-25 hrs. / 2-3 days per week* or full time for the right candidate.
Compensation is negotiable/based upon experience/skills/availability
