  • Can Labeling Recommendations

We are in the process of switching our specialty releases from 22oz bottles to 500ml cans. We use printed 12 oz cans for all of our other runs, but since these will be smaller we want to get blank cans and label as needed. Would prefer something more automatic than manually doing one can at a time.

We are currently using printed cans for year-round beers and would also like to label blank cans as needed for seasonal/one-offs. Did you find an more automated method to wrap brite cans?

      Labeling Cans

We have only labeled bright cans since we put in our Cask ACS 5. We label post fill in-line with a Pack Leader USA labeler - about a million cans in with no issues. Use labels from Austin tape and Label in Solon Ohio. There are many label companies making great label adhesive backed for sticking to a 33 F sweating bright can.

Pack Leader PL501 is the labeler you want. We have been running ours for a year now and love it. Just be sure they test your label material before building your labeler.

          labeler for cans

          Looking for the same recommendations.

I just got a quote from Packleader for an Elf 50 thats $10,000.

Wondering if anyone has adapted a bottle labeler to do the same function on cans.

We've been getting by on a primera table top version that will run about 40 cases per hour for a couple of hours. Slower than our canning line so it backs up the table after a while.
