  • Manometer recommendations

    Hi,

Looking for some certified calibrated manometers that won't completely break the bank. They are for mounting on our BBT's and looking for something in, around, or less then $200. European supplier information would also be greatly appreciated.

Also, just wondering whether i'm looking for relative or absolute pressure meters.

    Thanks!

You want relative (gauge) meters. Actual manometers (as the word is used here in the US) are over-kill. A good, calibratable pressure gauge and the equipment to calibrate it is what we use.

Unfortunately, the only source I've found for calibratable pressure gauges is Zahm and Nagel. They run around $40 each, IIRC, and will last a couple of years with care. A set-up for calibration should set you back anywhere from $300-$1000+. I built mine around a digital, certified pressure gauge that claims not to need calibration after it leaves the factory.

    Here's a pic of my calibration set-up: http://discussions.probrewer.com/sho...alibration-Day!
