TailGate Brewery in Nashville, TN is looking for an experienced Lead Production Brewer.
Looking for a motivated, experienced individual to take lead of our 50bbl production brewhouse
Education, Experience and Certification/License Requirements:
-Proven ability to contribute to a successful team.
-Should have experience on a brewhouse of 20bbls or greater.
-More than 5 years experience in the brewing industry.
-Extensive experience and understanding of the brewing process, sanitation, yeast health and fermentation, beer transfer and clarification and brewery quality control procedures.
-Formal brewing education, and certifications is favorable.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Management and operation of 50bbl 4 vessel brewhouse. Including maintenance and upkeep.
-Assisting with production calendar and packaging schedule
-Management of production packaging including kegs and cans all filled in house
-Overseeing and maintenance of packing line
-Overseeing all cellaring of 200bbl fermenter and brite tanks.
-Yeast Management
-Maintaining accurate and detailed production
-Ensure a clean and sanitary working environment
-Preforming quality control procedures
-Operating in a safe and OSHA certified
-Managing a brewing team and assisting in hiring new members of the team
-Attend and participate in departmental and all company meetings
-Work with other department heads.
Physical Requirements:
-Must be able to lift 65 pounds and move 175 pounds regularly.
-Must have the ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, kneel and crouch.
-The ability to work near moving parts and machinery.
-Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and the ability to see color; either with or without accommodation.
-The ability to work in loud, wet, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor environments frequently.
