  • Brew Kettle Condenser Water (city or filtered?)

    Hello,

Any thoughts on whether to run plain city water or filtered water to a kettle steam condenser?

    Thanks,
    Sean

That's what I figured. I don't see how water could make it's way into the kettle. The mineral build is a concern I have though.
      Thanks for your input

That's what I would think to, good luck Sean, On most vent condensing systems in just lite spray, below the 180° elbow.

Yes , The water would have to travel up and over the bend which isnt going to happen on a properly designed system. Plus the cold water spray actually created a negative pressure which aids in pulling the steam from the kettle so Ive been told.
