**DELIVERY DRIVERS WANTED**: Granite Falls Brewing Company self-distributes - delivering cased beer and kegs to retailers/bars/grocery - across the Asheville, Charlotte, Triad (Winston-Salem/Greensboro), and Chapel Hill-Durham-Raleigh regions. We are currently seeking two (2) Full-Time drivers to effect our deliveries; one driver will be placed in the early morning grocery delivery shift generally beginning around 5:30 AM and ending early afternoon. The other will be the restaurant/bar delivery shift beginning around 9 AM and ending in late afternoon.
Reasonable proximity to the brewery is a must.
To be considered:
- Applicants must have a valid unexpired driver's license with a clean DMV record (a driver license check dating back 3 years will be conducted and a commercial insurance risk analysis performed).
- Dependability & Punctuality: Work hours generally range from 5:30am - 6:30pm, Monday-Friday.
- **Delivery vehicles are Provided.** Drivers are required to maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues and/or concerns to the Brewery Team.
- **Gas card is Provided.** Fuel usage is strictly monitored.
- Must have a functional knowledge of North Carolina traffic laws and defensive driving.
- Ability to read maps/directions and operate GPS units. (Drivers are expected to route courses which minimize mileage waste between destinations.)
- Integrity: Responsible for handling cash and check payments and submitting the same to Accounts Receivable for processing.
- Charm: Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner. Excellent customer relation skills. The self-discipline to work independently.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
- Drivers are required to maintain adherence to GFB's Mission, Values, Policies and Procedures Manual (MVPP), and as the same may be updated from time to time.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Brew Team.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle product generally weighing 20 - 175 pounds. Ability to bend and stoop. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to fill orders. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Familiarity with Ekos Brewmaster and Fintech systems is preferred, but general adeptness with computer systems will suffice.
Starting Annual Salary: $24,960 with the opportunity to earn limited commissions. Many perks are provided. Opportunity exists for long-term career advancement.
