    Copper Kettle Brewing Company

    is an award winning taproom and packaging brewery located in Denver Colorado. We produce a wide range of traditional, experimental, barrel aged, and sour beers on a 15 barrel brewhouse with a current fermentation capacity of nearly 200 barrels. We package on a Wild Goose 250 canning machine and a Meheen 22oz glass bottling machine along with manual keg filling. We are looking for someone to fulfill the role of both packaging lead/manager while also requiring cellar work. Due to our small size (current brewery production staff of 4) we need someone to oversee and execute the brewing process starting from fermentation monitoring and process each batch through to final packaging into bottles/cans/kegs. This position is full time and may require early starts, late finishes, and weekend shifts as necessary. Pay scale is dependent on prior experience.     Job Responsibilities
    -Setup, operate, service, and maintain machinery including canning line, bottling line, and keg washer / filler equipment.
    -Ensure the entire packaging team follows sanitary procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
    -Schedule and fill packaged products to fulfil distributor purchase orders on time
    -Assist with the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
    -Stack pallets, cases, kegs and assist with general warehouse operations.
    -Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and infrastructure.
    -Perform additional duties as assigned.
    -Familiarity with cellar duties, including CIP, sanitary transfer, and carbonating
    -Logging of packaging material inventories, coordination with Brewery Manager for maintaining packaging material inventories
    -Logging of production activities in order to maintain production inventory records

    Preferred Experience and Skills
    -Prior beer packaging experience required.
    -Prior beer cellar experience preferred.
    -Strong mechanical background.
    -Ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented.
    -Excellent mechanical/process troubleshooting skills.
    -Love of craft beer and knowledge of the industry.
    -Experience in forklift operation including training others.
    -Ability to work both independently and within a team environment as a leader and problem solver.
    -Ability to work at a fast pace, in high pressure situations, while maintaining professionalism and composure.
    -Flexible schedule and adaptive to change.
    -Ability to learn quickly and apply new procedures and skills.
    -Strong organizational skills.
    -Is generally happy and can have fun, even on high stress and demanding days.
    -Need to be self-motivated.

    Physical Demands
    -Must be able to lift 50 lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 160 lbs.
    -Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours or more.
    -Must be able to crouch, bend, lift, twist and reach.
    -Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, loud, and unpredictable environments.
    -Must be able to work around electricity and harsh chemicals.
    -Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production-line setting.
    -Use their hands to perform fine manipulation, handle or feel, and must be able to reach with hands and arms.
    -Close, distance, color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
    -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
    -This position may come into direct contact with hazardous materials such as chemicals, noise and equipment. Hazardous materials include CO2 as well as loud noises as part of the brewing process.
