    About Lord Hobo Brewing Co.

    Lord Hobo Brewing Company (LHBCo) is a fast-growing craft brewery located in Woburn, MA. We are known for our hop-forward, New England-style ales, such as Boomsauce, Glorious, and Hobo Life, to name a few.     About the Brewery Engineer role:

    LHBCo has many ongoing and future projects that are critical to our growth and success. The ideal candidate for the Brewery Engineer role excels at assessing project needs, defining requirements, building project plans and budgets, developing implementation teams, and managing the execution of multiple projects at once. The Brewery Engineer role will be responsible for all project management and engineering-related requirements throughout the brewery (both facilities and operations), which includes spec’ing equipment and ancillary requirements (e.g. utilities), working with external vendors, and organizing internal resources. Examples of projects we have ongoing and planned include: install high-speed canning line, upgrade glycol system, upgrade brewhouse, install new cooler, add silos and augering, etc...

    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    -Manage all brewery and facilities-related projects (from inception to completion)

    -Identify and develop project initiatives aligned with brewery goals

    -Spec requirements for facility and equipment upgrades

    -Design system functionality and integration, and determine feasibility

    -Define project requirements and present detailed plans to management (including budgets, timelines, resource requirements, projected outcomes / benefits)

    -Manage and coordinate outside vendors and contractors

    -Collaborate with internal, shared resources to execute plans

    Brewery Engineer qualifications:

    At a minimum, the Brewery Engineer must have the following qualifications:

    -4 year degree

    -5+ years of relevant, brewery-related engineering and project management experience

    -Demonstrated success as a project manager of complex, multi-workstream initiatives

    -Proficiency reviewing and interpreting P&IDs

    -Strong understanding of mechanical systems and aptitude for troubleshooting

    -Ability to multitask, work under tight timelines, and prioritize efforts

    -Strong MS Excel skills and strong aptitude with Google Suite

    -The desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company

    -Excellent organization and communication skills

    -Ability to work in a brewery environment which may be loud, slick, humid, and hot/cold
