Director of Production
Trillium Brewing Company is looking for an experienced Director of Production to join our team! This position will be responsible for the full scope of production planning and execution and will partner with the Founders in the creation of quality Trillium beer. This is an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, family-run brewery and bring your expertise into the word of craft beer!
In this role, the primary responsibilities are to :
Develop and maintain quarterly and annual production projections and schedule
Maintain detailed real-time inventory of all beers in process: main production, wild, spontaneous, clean barrel-aged and pilot
Oversee sourcing and ensure optimized inventory management of raw ingredients and packaging supplies
Plan for equipment and staffing needs with each upcoming increase in production
Supervise teams (main production brewhouse, wild and cellar, pilot program, Boston brewhouse, wild and clean packaging, QA/QC) through production managers and team leads
Communicate team equipment issues, upcoming production schedule, daily checklists, timing of production processes
Oversee weekly orders of raw ingredients and ensure production related POs/GRPOs into Orchestrated Beer
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
Identify and research new ingredient suppliers
Contribute to new recipe development & continuous improvement existing recipes
Coordinate with production and operations to ensure ingredients are received as planned and stored appropriately
Oversee hard and soft counts for Orchestrated Beer inventory reconciliations
Maintain receipes in Orchestrated Beer
Promote and model a clean and safe working environment as the production department safety lead
Partner with Director of Facilities and safety officers to ensure a safe functional working environment
Integral partner of the Trillium Executive Team

Requirements:
10+ years of progressive production management experience including 5+ years in a packaging brewery
Demonstrated success building and leading efficient and effective teams across multiple facilities
Bachelor’s degree in brewing, food production or science degree. Master’s degree preferred
A working knowledge of OSHA requirements and a proven track record of focus on building a safety culture
Proven project manager
Ability to develop, administer and reconcile complex budgets
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Orchestrated Beer, Microsoft Word, Excel, G Suite. Experience with CMMS, online OSHA reporting and HRIS systems a plus
Ability to thrive under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day)
Performing job with and around moving machinery
