    Sixpoint is a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based craft brewery, born out of an 800 square foot garage in Red Hook in 2004 by Shane Welch. We are the Mad Scientists.     Sanitas Brewing Company has partnered with Sixpoint Brewery to launch Brewers Star Distribution Company, here in Colorado. Brewers Star is a company being built on taking the extra step in distribution. A company built by brewers for brewers to provide superior service, amazing events and a customer facing style. Brewers Star is searching for its first General Manager to take a lead in the creation and execution of this company. Ideal candidates will be leadership and management focused, comfortable selling beer to a variety of areas throughout Colorado, reporting to CEO and Controller for reports and in addition to attending and working Beer Festivals, Beer Events and hand sales at Liquor Stores.

    Ideal start date: Early December in order to support the launch of Brewer’s Star in mid December

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Lead brand acquisition efforts to strategically grow the Brewer’s Star portfolio, developing rigorous vetting criteria and standards, and serve as the main point of contact for brands once affiliated
    • Grow the Brewer’s Star distribution footprint through sales leadership and development of business to business relationships
    • Grow Brewer’s Star account base and maintain/retain existing accounts
    • Develop strategic account targeting methodology to maximize distribution and velocity
    • Leadership of strategic brand development through distribution, events, and other brand-building activities coordinated and executed across the Brewer’s Star team
    • Develop, lead, and execute annual business plans (ABP) and sales strategy
    • Train, lead, motivate, develop and manage a sales team
    • Work with suppliers to ensure optimal inventory levels and turnover
    • Analyze all available data to identify key trends, areas of concern, and opportunities
    • Establish sales targets and sales rep routes to maximize distribution, reach, and growth
    • Take direct responsibility and ownership for the Brewer’s Star P&L
    • Take over management of company finances after year one
    • Manage cash flow and and provide executive updates on company’s financial performance
    • Work with executive team in composition of annual financial budget and maintain financial rigor and discipline
    • Work with accounting staff for expense approvals and classifications
    • Audit pricing and ensure adherence to required margins
    • Run bi-weekly payroll and calculate quarterly sales bonuses
    • Work with Controller and external CPA on year-end financial close and federal/state tax compliance
    • Routine audit of operations to identify and present cost saving opportunities
    • Formulate and launch innovative sales and marketing models
    • Develop and execute a cohesive and comprehensive brand development strategy that incorporates, but not limited to coordinated on-premise events, local festivals, large-scale owned and operated events, tastings, and more
    • Develop thorough understanding of local market needs and competition, and build strategies around market dynamics for sales and marketing in collaboration with suppliers; report market insights to suppliers on a routine basis
    • Articulate brand key messaging through all marketing activities within the Colorado market
    • Oversee onboarding, compensation changes, status-changes and handling employee transfers and exits


    Requirements:

    Five years experience in beer distribution with a deep understanding of the 3-tier system
    Experience and thorough understanding of Colorado state liquor laws
