  • Calibrating Tri-Clamp Pressure Gauges

I have several GW Kent brand tri-clamp pressure gauges that do not read zero anymore.

    https://www.gwkent.com/digital-sanit...-gauges-1.html

Anyone know how to re-calibrate them? I followed the instructions on GW Kent (https://www.gwkent.com/media/pdf/pro...sure_gauge.pdf) for "burping the vent cover", but that hasn't changed anything.

There is a small set screw near the base, and when I remove it, there is something inside, but I can't figure out if I can do anything in there!

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have no idea if the GWK gauges can be calibrated, but I seriously doubt it. The only pressure gauges I've found that can be are the Zahm and Nagel ones. Perhaps you could discard the GWKs and replace?

If you want to keep the GWKs, you'll likely end up writing correction factors in the cases or faces with a Sharpie. I fount this mostly led to lots of confusion in the brewhouse and ferm hall.

Here's my DIY calibration set-up: http://discussions.probrewer.com/sho...brating+gauges I also have 1 1/2" and 2" TC flanges that screw into the regulator so I can easily test TC-mounted gauges, PRVs, and spunding valves.
