    COMPANY
    At Wayward Owl Brewing Co. we strive to make beer that the people of New Orleans & Louisiana enjoy drinking as much as we enjoy brewing it.     DESCRIPTION
    The cellar person’s primary responsibility is the daily oversight of product within the cellar. This person will provide assistance in day to day brewing operations while focusing on packaging and cellar maintenance. Preference may be given to candidates with the following attributes:
    • 1+ years as a cellar person in a production brewery of 2000+ BBL/year*
    • Possession of a degree or certificate in brewing or brewing science
    • Experience working with canning systems, specifically ABE Lincan systems

    REQUIREMENTS
    • Have 1+ years previous professional cellar experience
    • Have strong & concise communication skills
    • Posses the ability to think quick on your feet
    • Must have strong math skills
    • Have an understanding and working knowledge of Excel, Gmail, Google Calendar
    • Must be able to maintain a calm head under pressure and in stressful situations
    • Must be a self starter and be able to work independently
    • Must show strong multi-tasking skills
    • Must understand the nature of this small business and be able to adapt to “growing pains”
    • MUST posses strong troubleshooting & problem solving capabilities
    • Have basic understanding of draft beer systems
    • Have knowledge of beer styles
    • Have strong social interaction skills. Must be able to easily interact with consumers at tasting and events
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must be on time
    • Must be capable of lifting up to 150lbs, bend, stoop, lift, etc.
    • MUST have the ability to let loose and have some fun!

    DUTIES
    • Cleaning and sanitation of all process equipment, including tanks, hoses, brinks, and kegs
    • Product transfer
    • Product fining
    • Product carbonation
    • Product canning
    • Product kegging
    • Harvesting and maintaining yeast
    • Participation in taste panels*
    • Production of cask ale
    • Tracking & reporting packaging day yields
    • Tracking empty keg and can stock
    • Cleaning and organizing work spaces daily
    • Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.*
    • Other duties as assigned*

    OTHER ESSENTIALS
    • Have responsible Vendor’s Card

    Bonus
    • Beer/Brewing Education or certificate
    • Cicerone Certification
