  • Country Boy Brewing seeking a Brewery Rep in the Nashville Area

Country Boy Brewing is looking to hire a Brewery Representative that is based out of the Nashville area, but who will be responsible for all of our Tennessee market and some Southern KY area. If you are interested, please read over the job description below and send your resume to jobs@countryboybrewing.com

Country Boy Brewing was founded in 2012 by four native Kentuckians for one simple reason – To make the best damn beer in America. In 5 short years, we have gone from our Lexington 2 barrel, homebrew-on-steroids operation to opening a 22,000 square foot production facility in the rolling hills of beautiful Georgetown, KY. With two facilities, comes the need for more Country Boys and Girls to join our team.

    Position: Sales Representative

    Supervisor: CBB Management

The sales representative mission is to keep a finger on the pulse of Country Boy Brewing’s business outside of the taprooms. This includes working with and understanding each distributor, the territories they cover, and the differences between each one. The sales representative will be Country Boy’s first point of contact for on and off premise accounts and will make decisions on how to handle or report each unique situation as they present themselves. The sales representative will report directly to the CBB Partners, but will also keep an open working relationship with all levels of the Country Boy team.

    Hours: Full-time.

Pay: Salaried Position plus allowances. Based on experience.

    Requirements:
-Create and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our distributors, our retail partners (both on and off premise), and the consumer (both craft savvy and not) by working beer events and representing Country Boy Brewing in many settings.
-Work with each distributor on a monthly basis, including team sale days with representatives from the distributor.
-Develop key customers in each distributor territory.
-Plan, manage time, and prioritize as necessary. Ability to manage multiple focuses in a timely fashion is a must.
-Perform ongoing quality control of beer outside the brewery. The ability to spot poor beer rotation, dated or damaged product, proper line cleaning protocols, and evaluation of overall draft system performance is crucial.
-Report at weekly/monthly meetings with management and communicate relevant information regarding accounts, products, opportunities, etc. This will include, but is not limited to, monthly reports on accounts visited, new accounts acquired, new taps acquired, expenses, and a general report on current market climate.
-Consistent coverage of the specified territory of our distribution footprint. Country Boy Brewing currently distributes to the states of Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee. You will work with CBB management and distributors to plan and execute scheduled trips that maximize account visits and events in all markets.
-Other duties as assigned by CBB Partners. These job descriptions may be updated as the company grows and management sees fit.

    Events:
-Work with distributors and accounts to create unique and interesting events that benefit both Country Boy Brewing and the account. This includes, but is not limited to, tap takeovers, beer and food pairings, tastings, joint events with third parties, pub crawls, etc.
-Work with the CBB management team to maintain Country Boy brand consistency across all promotions leading up to events.
-Be seen at both in-house and out-of-house events and make yourself accessible to the bar owners, bar employees, patrons, etc.

    Office tasks:
-Develop a promotional calendar of events and beer releases to use when visiting accounts.
-Keep a weekly/bi-weekly planner of goals and account calls for each distributor territory.
-Provide information to the accounting department as needed.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in a beer or alcohol-related sales field.
-In depth understanding of craft beer and quality service – the customer is always right, even when they are wrong.
-Ability to trouble shoot draft beer issues for accounts. Technical support and advanced training will be provided.
-Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office and Google Calendar.
-Outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm while multi-tasking in a busy environment.
-Valid Driver’s License and responsible driving record. This job will require extensive travel.
-Able to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds, and occasionally maneuver 165 pound kegs.
-Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel.
-Must be 21 years of age
    -Bachelors Degree is a plus.
