City Steam Brewery seeks an energized and passionate Brew Maestro to lead its brewing operations into the next 20+ years of brewing excellence. Located in downtown Hartford, we established ourselves in 1997 as the second craft brewery in Connecticut. Our 15bbl system is uniquely capable of tapping into Hartford’s underlying steam pipes, which gives rise to our name and the rare ability to market under the banner of “Steam.” Our famed line of Naughty Nurse beers (Amber and IPA) are regarded as craft staples in CT, and serve as the foundation of our regional distribution. Approximately 75% of our annual production is consumed within our downtown brewpub, which houses full dining, a bar in full view of the brew kettles, a comedy club, banquet facilities, and tremendous growth potential. We also leverage contract production to support distribution, an area we also seek to grow.

Our customers thirst for a spectrum of refined classic lagers to modern hazy juice-bombs. Our entire facility operates as a cohesive team and integrated family – not in silos!
