The Gyppo Ale Mill is seeking a kitchen manager to join our family and brand new business. Our brewery is located on one of the most picturesque coastlines in the world. What we lack in people, we make up in beauty. The successful candidate must have culinary and management experience. We're looking for a creative, motivated professional who can contribute to prep work or delivering food when necessary, and who won't be afraid to delegate. You will report to the owner and have the opportunity to hire, train staff and collaborate with the brew master to create beer paired dishes and appetizers.

Work closely with owners to create weekly production schedules and ensure they are met
Manage inventory and ongoing procurement of ingredients and purchasing optimization
Conduct critical assessment of food program and ensure products meet rigid quality standards
Job Responsibilities:
Order supplies, food and ingredients based on rapidly shifting demand
Hire and train kitchen staff on specific stations, and cross-train as necessary
Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand
Maintain inventory levels and conduct full weekly inventory
Schedule and oversee necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances
Assist the Restaurant Manager with menu changes and adjustments based on seasonal availability
Respond personally to guest questions and complaints
Responsible for training kitchen personnel in cleanliness and sanitation practices, including a quarterly kitchen "deep clean"
Must hold a current Serve Safe certification
Ability to calculate food and labor cost percentages and ensure that back of the house budget is met
Job Requirements:
5+ years' culinary experience
2+ years' restaurant management experience
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Capable of conducting and assessing restaurant inventory
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast speed of service
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift 55 pounds.
