Other Half Brewing Company - Brewer Position
Other Half Brewing Company is looking to add to the team. We are seeking a hardworking self starter capable of handling numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast paced dynamic work environment. Brewers work closely with the Production Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Packaging Manager, and Plant Engineer. Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills are essential. Attention to detail, an emphasis on quality, as well as stellar communication skills, both oral and written, are paramount for success in this role. We offer competitive salary and benefits.

Reports to: Brewmaster / Production Manager
The position is responsible for most aspects of production, including but not limited to:
-Malt handling and wort production
-Centrifuge operation
-Beer maintenance, fermentation monitoring, and dry-hopping
-Yeast management including harvesting, pitching and record keeping
-CIP of fermenters, brite tanks, and separation equipment
-Thorough knowledge of and support capability for brewhouse and packaging operations
-Must maintain a tidy and safe work environment
-Foster a culture of safety using proper PPE and best practices
General Requirements:
-Brewing experience (3+ years preferred)
-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs, and Orchestrated Beer
-The ability to efficiently multitask
-Familiarity with GEA Westfalia centrifuges
-Ability to use a forklift
Physical Requirements:
-Lift 55+ lbs regularly
-Work in hot / cold and wet environments requiring twisting, bending, pulling and pushing in tight areas
-The ability to stand for the duration of an 8 hour shift
-Frequent use of a ladder
