Our brewpub is now in its 8th year of very successful operation in the beautiful and historic tourist town of Galena, IL, which receives 1.5 million visitors per year, from all over Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.
Galena Brewing Company is looking for our next brewer. We are a 10-barrel Premier Stainless Systems brewhouse with 80 bbls of fermentation tanks and 30 bbls of Bright tanks. We sell in two states with most of our product sold at our Main Street 12 tap taproom. Pushing over 1000 barrels/year, you must be nimble and able to multitask and troubleshot on your own. We’re looking for a real renaissance person- sours, NEIPA’s and barrel aging.
Our brewer must be able to lift full ½ barrels onto shelves in our cooler, so this position will be filled by someone with strength. Forklift certification a plus but we will train the right individual.
The Galena Brewing Company brews 6 regular ales, seasonals every month, barrel aging, pilot brewing, bottled limited releases, tours every week, multiple brew fests every year, 7 National and International Awards….and the best live music in town every weekend! Our Brewery serves our in-house 24 tap bar/140 seat restaurant, and distributors in Illinois and Iowa.
If you are looking for a challenging and creative brewing environment in a small town who will adopt you as family, come and join our state of the art brewery and restaurant!
