Job Description:
We are currently looking for a FT Packaging Specialist to join our growing team. After launching in January 2015, we have enjoyed tremendous growth as the first dedicated contract brewery in the Western United States. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an aggressively growing start up with tremendous advancement opportunity for leaders who can drive safety, quality and productivity.
Experience Preferred:
1+ year experience in a production brewery or beverage packaging operation, a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Chemistry/Food Science, or certification by IBD, Siebel, etc. is desirable. We will, however, consider any applicant that is intelligent, driven, and passionate not simply about beer, but about providing high levels of customer service and rising to the challenges that come with a high degree of accountability to our clients. Our culture is paramount to our success and we require members of the team to contribute to an environment of continuous improvement in this fun, family oriented brewery. We are a start-up that will produce over 30,000BBL this year with a goal of 60,000 BBL in 2018. Desired skills and experience include, but are not limited to:
• Constant focus on Safety!
• Can, Bottle, and Kegging operations experience, including warehousing
• Enthusiasm to be a creative and contributing member of team success.
• Willingness to work in a Flexible Team environment. Flow to Work!
• Passion and pride in maintaining a clean work environment. Food sanitation experience is a plus
• Respect for following and developing SOP’s while challenging existing protocols in a controlled, well planned and prior communicated manner.
• Experience with brewery analytical instrumentation – Anton-Paar, CO2 gauge, DO meters, etc.
• Experience with following a Quality-at-Source Sample Plan (Everyone is “QC”)
• Perform CIP/SIP functions and associated chemical handling, titrations
• Impeccable attention to detail in packaging operation and documentation
• Experience with maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, and other commonly used equipment
• Skilled Trades (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) experience is a plus
• Understanding and experience in LEAN / Continuous Improvement principles
• Available to work overtime as needed
• Understanding of GMP
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Obeer experience a plus.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
• Forklift experience preferred
Compensation commensurate with experience and includes PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, LTD and Life insurance
