Broomtail started as the first of the new brewery explosion in Wilmington NC in 2014. Demand exceeded our production in our 1st 3 months of operation. With our "clean" brewery (Broomtail) and our "wild" aging site (The Sour Barn) we fill the niche of extremely technical, true to style, traditional beers as well as the unique segment of spontaneous fermentation and wild farmhouse ales.
Our Company Slogan (Before this became so mainstream of a saying) "The Scientific Art and Artistic Science of Great Beer". That's who we are.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We have recently expanded again and are now looking for a self-motivated craft beer professional to grow our wholesale business in NC. This representative will have the primary responsibility of opening and servicing new wholesale accounts. The perfect candidate will already have industry experience and will instantly be considered the face of Broomtail and The Sour Barn through cold calls, service calls, tastings, and festivals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Required:
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, sales and management a plus
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
2+ years of experience in the beer, wine & spirits industry
Ability and desire to work independently
High levels of energy & self-motivation without the need of micromanagement
Organized, self-disciplined and very sociable
Have a reliable car (or truck)
Current/Clean driver's license
Loyalty and desire to grow with Broomtail as we expand
Clean drug test
Always Positive (Dont ever bring negativity to work or to the marketplace as the face of Broomtail)
Pluses:
Cicerone certification
Experience building a new or expanding brand
Graphic design experience
OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunity to grow with a company known for delicious beer, technical expertise and thinking out of the box. Position will initially be a 1099 contractor type trial phase for 60 days for an hourly rate plus commission for each keg sold. After the trial phase is complete, the full time position will pay a salary plus commission level depending on both experience and 1st 60 days of performance.
